On 23rd April, 2017, Oriemac team visited Djibouti for two-day business travelling.
Republic of Djibouti, is a country located in the Horn of Africa, it is strategically located near some of the world's busiest shipping lanes. It serves as a keytransshipment center, and is the principal maritime port for imports from and exports to neighboring Ethiopia.
China government is investing in Djibouti for the biggest port also named International Free Trade Zone, commit to be Future International Maritime Center of East Africa. Oriemac has been construction machinery exporter for more than 10 years, has a dozen cooperated companies in Djibouti, this visit is catching up with the boom of infrastructure, which makes great significance. Day one, a gentleman from Djibouti transportation company who knows us more than 3 years, picked us up from airport and warmly invited us to look around. We drove along the coastal road to see three ports, and went to Alta Highland to get bird’s-eye view of the whole city. The biggest port China invested is in an orderly construction, which makes us impressed with its large-scale. After finished port visiting, the big boss of that company, a friendly Madam, served us as her honored guests in country house, we enjoyed traditional Moringa drink and shared stories between us, we had dinner together in Arabian customs to taste grilled fish and discussed the potential cooperation in near future. Day two, Oriemac team visited the largest Real Estate company. The company is famous in local, they have state relationship to invest in Djibouti, including house construction, municipal construction etc. We have cooperated many times for buying loaders, excavators and other vehicles.We had an official meeting in their head office, when talked about the booming international trade between China and Djibouti, they indicated that Oriemac is the most important business partner in their investment, they are requiring lots of machines that will import from us. In the afternoon when we back to hotel, time is too tight to visit other companies, several clients came to see us for a brief talking to know each other, not only for business, for friendship. After Djibouti visiting, we were flying to another important markets in East Africa- Ethiopia.
