XCMG XR1600E rotary drilling rig is involved in the construction of Xihoumen Public-Railway Bridge, which is a shared cross-sea bridge of Yongzhou Railway and Yongzhou Expressway Replacing Line across Xihoumen Waterway, with a main span of 1,488 meters, which is the world's largest cable-stayed-suspension collaborative system bridge under construction and the largest public-railway bridge in China at present.

XCMG XR1600E participated in the construction of the main tower foundation (pier 5 foundation) on the booklet island side of the bridge with a water depth of 60 meters, while the maximum water depth of the completed cross-sea bridges in China is only 40 meters, which is a huge challenge for the bridge foundation construction. This is a huge challenge for the bridge foundation construction.  For this reason, the builder used 18 bored piles with a diameter of 6.3 meters and a length of 84 meters, which is also the world's largest diameter bored pile foundation for bridges.  XCMG XR1600E rotary drilling rig can drill up to 190 meters in depth and 7.5 meters in diameter, which is the preferred model for super high-rise buildings, high-speed railroads, cross-river and cross-sea bridges, offshore wind power and other large pile foundation projects. In order to facilitate transportation, XR1600E adopts the industry's first split drive station, and the whole machine is upgraded in all aspects such as working performance, construction efficiency, function expansion, structural strength, safety protection, service life, routine maintenance and appearance of the whole machine, etc. It has more than 20 invention patents, representing a new level of global pile foundation construction equipment.  With the specially equipped drilling tools, the XR1600E rotary drilling rig is fully capable of meeting the challenge of oversized 6.3m diameter of seeping bare rock in this complex marine environment, and the pile foundation construction is underway as planned.
