Recently, the super-high complex project in Alamein New City, Egypt, has reached a major milestone with a successful topping out, of which the core tower has set a new height for all-reinforced concrete residences in Africa. As a landmark project of the ‘One Belt, One Road’ co-construction between China and Egypt, this project is not only the starting point and core of the construction of Alamein New City, but also carries new hopes for the development of the region.
The complex project includes 4 super high-rise residential buildings and 1 iconic tower, of which the iconic tower is designed to be about 300 metres high, which will be the tallest all-reinforced concrete super high-rise residential building in Africa and among the top 10 in the world. ZOOMLION, with its excellent equipment performance, provided more than 85% of the key construction equipment, including tower cranes and construction hoists, to provide a solid backing for the construction of this world-class complex. During the construction of the iconic tower, ZOOMLION, with its profound industry experience and technical strength, successfully implemented a cluster tower co-operation programme in the face of complex construction conditions and stringent standards. In order to meet the needs of the tower's attachment position changing with the height of the building, ZOOMLION worked closely with the project team and ensured the stability and safety of the tower under non-standard working conditions through accurate simulation calculations and optimal construction design, which won high recognition from industry experts.
It is especially worth mentioning that ZOOMLION's 4.0 star product, WA7025-12E tower crane, became the best in the project with its construction height of 307 metres. This tower crane is not only equipped with the advanced ETI intelligent control system, but also realises significant breakthroughs in structure and transmission technology, and is also equipped with multiple safety protection functions to ensure the safety and efficiency of ultra-high-altitude operations. In addition, ZOOMLION provided comprehensive on-site service support, including installation and commissioning of the tower crane, operation and maintenance skills training, as well as a fast-responding after-sales service team, to ensure the smooth progress of the project construction.
Looking into the future, the sign tower of Alamein New City ultra-high complex project will be like a bright pearl dotted along the Mediterranean coast, becoming a new landmark in Egypt and even in Africa.
