When encountering forklift truck malfunctions, in order to ensure that you can quickly and accurately locate the problem and take appropriate action, you can follow the detailed steps below to troubleshoot them one by one.

· Starting problems:

If you can hear the starter motor turn over when starting, but the engine does not respond, this usually indicates that there may be a problem with the starter motor or the engine starter tine ring. Check to see if the starter's drive gear properly engages the engine's ring and if there are signs of wear or damage to both.

If the starter motor makes a continuous ‘clattering’ sound, but the engine turns over slowly or not at all, and the dashboard lights are erratic, this is most likely a sign that the battery is low. At this time, you should check whether the battery voltage and capacity meet the requirements, and whether the generator can normally charge the battery.

When the engine can rotate normally but fails to catch fire, the fuel supply system or electrical system may be faulty. Check whether the fuel filter is clogged, whether the fuel pump is working properly, and whether the ignition system (e.g., spark plug, ignition coil, etc.) is damaged.

· Weakness in travelling:

For mechanical forklift trucks, if you feel that there is insufficient power during driving, there may be a problem with the clutch. Check whether the clutch pedal has enough free travel and whether the clutch disc is badly worn. If the clutch disc is worn, replace it in time to avoid further damage to the clutch pressure plate and flywheel.

For hydrodynamic forklift trucks, if the driving is weak and accompanied by abnormal noise, it may be due to the internal failure of the gearbox. Check whether the transmission oil level is too low, and whether the transmission oil is deteriorated or contains impurities. At the same time, you also need to check whether the gearshift mechanism and pressure regulation system of the gearbox are working properly.

· Brake system problems:

If the forklift feels insensitive or has insufficient braking power when braking, first check whether the brake fluid is sufficient. Insufficient brake fluid will lead to insufficient pressure inside the brake system, thus affecting the braking effect.

If the brake fluid is sufficient but the braking effect is still poor, it may be that the brake shoes are worn out seriously or the brake sub-pump or master pump is faulty. At this point, the brake system needs to be disassembled for inspection and repair.

· Mast lifting problem:

If the forklift truck lifts the gantry slowly or fails to lift during the working process, first check whether the oil level of the hydraulic oil is too low. Insufficient hydraulic oil will lead to insufficient pressure in the hydraulic system, thus affecting the lifting effect of the gantry.

If the hydraulic oil is sufficient, but the gantry still can not lift or lift slowly, may be the gear pump, lifting cylinder or multi-way valve failure. At this time, the hydraulic system needs to be checked and repaired one by one.

Through the above steps of checking and repairing one by one, you can effectively solve all kinds of faults encountered in the use of forklift trucks.
